Homes and commercial properties in Southern Utah are designed much different than other parts of the country. Our properties are built to withstand major earthquakes–not tornadoes. *The most common warning sign of a water leak is finding water in the street in front of your property. When a water pipe ruptures, its natural tendency is to flow downhill which happens to coincide with the front of most residential properties.

*Water in your yard:This is common with exterior water lines such as those that are connected to landscaping systems. If you notice water near the base of your home, it may indicate an internal water line problem.

*Wet spots on the side of the house:Sometimes a water line leak will come from a bathroom-such as a leak underneath a bathtub. One of the first indicators of this type of problem will be wet spots on the side of the house.

*Damp Drywall: If you notice that the drywall and ceilings are displaying a few wet rings or spots, this is typically an indication of a water pipe leak within the wall, or in the rafters.

*Low water pressure: A broken water line will also produce less water pressure throughout the household.

*Sound of running water:If you can hear water running in a specific room such as a bathroom, a kitchen, or outside the home, and there are no faucets turned on, a water line issue is likely.

*A moldy smell:As water leaks excessive mold is created within the walls or foundation of a home. In fact, mold growth and removal is one of the most expensive repairs a home owner won’t deal with if a water leak is not quickly resolved.
